POEMS

May this holiday season
leave you with precious memories:
A Christmas filled with love and light
perfect gifts, delicious foods,
love and joy all around.
A New Year with continuing blessings
friends, family, good work, great fun,
and delightful surprises.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

If one night a big fat man jumps in at your window,
grabs you and puts you in a sack
don't worry I told Santa
I wanted you for CHRISTMAS.
HAPPY CHRISTMAS
Christmas is a time of joy,
A time for love and cheer,
A time for making memories,
To last throughout the year

Now the spirit of the Christmas -
is growing more and more each day,
and the bond we made as friends,
is certainly here to stay.

My thoughts continue to allow me -
for this much I do know,
I thank God for each blessing,
as our friendship continues to grow.

Loving God,
you are so good to us.
You give us so much.
But best of all
you give us Jesus,
who shows us
how much you love us.
We love you too.
Help us share your love
with others
this Christmas

Ring out, sing out, It’s Holiday Time!
Get the things out, It’s Holiday Time!
You light the candles, I’ll light the tree
Chanukah or Christmas, it’s easy to see...
It’s Holiday Time! It’s Holiday Time! It’s Holiday Time!

Ring out, sing out, It’s Holiday Time!
Get the things out, It’s Holiday Time!
You celebrate a miracle
You celebrate a birth
But all of us together need to celebrate our life on earth...
It’s Holiday Time! It’s Holiday Time! It’s Holiday Time!

Fields full of flowers, fogs on the roof,
Over in the meadow, Rudy’s high on the hoof.
This is the way the deer start their day,
Have a little fun, dance, swing and play!

They do the reindeer shuffle, the reindeer shuffle
With a tappity, tap toe, they really gotta go
And do the reindeer shuffle, whoa oh oh.

Other deer wanted to learn how to hoof,
Rudy said, “Follow me, we’ll hoof on the roof.”
All the deer shouted out with glee, “What do we do first, Rudy”?

You do the reindeer shuffle, the reindeer shuffle,
Tappity tap toe come here and let me show yaw.
The reindeer shuffle, whoa oh oh.
Heel, toe, heel toe, turn around, around we go
Come on now, heel, toe, heel, toe, hop, kick, away we go.
To do the reindeer shuffle, reindeer shuffle
Tappity, tap toe, we really gotta go to do
The reindeer shuffle whoa, oh oh.

Now some say to this very day,
If you get up bright and early you can see the deer play.
Over in the meadow and high on the roof,
Rudy and friends are kicking high with their hooves.
Hoofin’ here and hoofin’ there,
Tappin’ their toes and kicking the air.

Doing the reindeer shuffle, the reindeer shuffle,
Tappity, tap toe, they really gotta go.
Tappity tap toe, shuffle off to Buffalo.
Tappity tap toe, everybody in the know
Is doing the reindeer shuffle whoa oh oh.

The lights on the tree
Are twinkling bright,
Twinkling bright,
Twinkling bright.
The popcorn strings
Are long and white.
Come see our tree!

The balls on the tree
Are bright and round,
Bright and round,
Bright and round.
The bells on the tree
Don’t make a sound.
Come see our tree!

The gifts on the tree
Are large and small,
Large and small,
Large and small.
The smell of the tree
Is best of all!
Come see our tree!

Plant the earth with seeds of gladness,
help to turn the wrongs to rights.
Wrap the world in Christmas wishes,
paint the sky with Chanukah lights.
Dust the cities full of sunshine,
chase the sadness from the night.
Wrap the world in Christmas wishes,
paint the sky with Chanukah lights.

Chorus:
Wash the sky-lights, sweep the oceans full of fear.
Find those doubters, tell them peace will soon be here.

Verse:
Plaster up the walls of anger,
chase the bad guys out of sight.
Wrap the world in Christmas wishes,
paint the sky with Chanukah lights!

Plant the earth with seeds of gladness, stock the hills with cans of peace.
Dust the cities filled with cob-webs, from the fighting in the streets.
Shake the people full of anger, sweep the oceans full of fear.
Tell them it’s the time for loving, tell them peace will soon be here.

Wash the sky-lights, sweep the oceans full of fear.
Find those doubters, tell them peace will soon be here.

Plaster up the walls of anger,
chase the bad guys out of sight.
Wrap the world in Christmas wishes,
paint the sky with Chanukah lights!

Ring ring ring the bells ring them loud and clear oh
Ring ring ring the bells the holidays are here
Hints of snow in the air families gather everywhere
Ring ring ring the bells ring them loud and clear

Ring ring ring the bells ring them loud and clear oh
Ring ring ring the bells the holidays are here
Laughter and love abound let’s all make a cheerful sound
Ring ring ring the bells ring them loud and clear

Ring ring ring the bells ring them loud and clear oh
Ring ring ring the bells the holidays are here
Tell everyone of days long gone share good food and sing the songs
Ring ring ring the bells ring them loud and clear

Ring ring ring the bells ring them loud and clear oh
Ring ring ring the bells the holidays are here
Let us pause one and all and listen to the clarion call
Ring ring ring the bells ring them loud and clear
Ring ring ring the bells the holidays are here

I peeped in to say “Goodnight,”
and then I heard my child in prayer:
“And for me, some scarlet ribbons,
scarlet ribbons for my hair.”

All the stores were closed and shuttered;
All the streets were dark and bare.
In our town, no scarlet ribbons,
not one ribbon for her hair.

Through the night my heart was aching...
.....

..... If I live to be two hundred,
I will never know from where
came those lovely scarlet ribbons,
scarlet ribbons for her hair.

Santa do you know,
Can you see it in our eyes?
Can you feel the wonder deep inside our hearts?

When you glide your sleigh through the night,
Dear Santa can you make the world all right.

Santa do you know,
Even though you're far away
Can you hear our whispers underneath the stars?
When you light your way from above
Dear Santa can you fill our world with love.

Presents underneath the tree,
We’re snuggled close tonight
Fam’ly’s gathered round,
Warm and safe and sound,
Just one gift we’d like to share with
Friends and loved ones everywhere so

Santa let us know,
Can you see us while we dream
Of a world that’s filled with everlasting peace?
Dear Santa
Can you right the wrongs, Dear Santa
Can you hear our song, Dear Santa
Can you fill our world with love tonight.

Angels we have heard on high
Sweetly singing o'er the plains,
And the mountains in reply
Echoing their joyous strains.

Gloria, in excelsis Deo!
Gloria, in excelsis Deo!

Shepherds, why this jubilee?
Why your joyous strains prolong?
What the gladsome tidings be
Which inspire your heavenly song?

Gloria, in excelsis Deo!
Gloria, in excelsis Deo!

Ten twinkling trees, standing strong and tall,
Which twinkling tree is the best of all?
Not this one here, for it’s not made of pine,
Let’s look at the other nine.

Nine twinkling trees, standing strong and tall,
Which twinkling tree is the best of all?
Not this one here, for it’s trunk’s not straight,
Let’s look at the other eight.

Eight twinkling trees, standing strong and tall,
Which twinkling tree is the best of all?
Not this one here, for it doesn’t point to heaven,
Let’s look at the other seven.

Seven twinkling trees, standing strong and tall,
Which twinkling tree is the best of all?
Not this one here, for there’s too much to fix,
Let’s look at the other six.

Six twinkling trees, standing strong and tall,
Which twinkling tree is the best of all?
Not this one here, for it didn’t thrive,
Let’s look at the other five.

Five twinkling trees, standing strong and tall,
Which twinkling tree is the best of all?
Not this one here, for it came from a store,
Let’s look at the other four.

Four twinkling trees, standing strong and tall,
Which twinkling tree is the best of all?
Not this one here, for it’s too big for me,
Let’s look at the other three.

Three twinkling trees, standing strong and tall,
Which twinkling tree is the best of all?
Not this one here, for its branches are few,
Let’s look at the other two.

Two twinkling trees, standing strong and tall,
Which twinkling tree is the best of all?
Not this one here, for it’s brighter than the sun,
Let’s look at the other one.

One twinkling tree, standing strong and tall,
It surely must be the best of all.
With branches full, and sized just right,
I’ll take it home and trim it tonight.

I’m a little robot;
I can talk.
Flip on this switch and
Then I can walk.

I have lights that flash
And circuits too.
Just program what you
Want me to do.

Beep beep beep beep beep
Beep beep beep beep

Plants and animals all have needs
They both need air and water you see
Plants need light and animals food
What they need is what they'll choose

Plants need light and animals need food
Both need water and air too

Energy is a basic need
It's provided by light and food to eat
Plants absorb light
Animals eat food

Through the window I see snowflakes
My Mama's making fruitcakes
Our tree all lit up makes us feel love and cheer
So kiss me beneath the mistletoe 'cause Christmas is here

I hear sleigh bells are ringing
My whole family singing
We know Santa’s bringing
Special presents this year
So kiss me beneath the mistletoe 'cause Christmas is here

Through the window I see snowflakes
My Mama's making fruitcakes
Our tree all lit up makes us feel love and cheer
So kiss me beneath the mistletoe
So kiss me beneath the mistletoe 'cause Christmas is here

Winter, it’s so exciting
Hearing sleigh bells
And watching candle lighting
And we’re wishing
Joy to everyone
As we go once more around the sun

There’s another year, fresh and clear, straight ahead
Like a field of snow
All across the land there’s a brand-new beginning now
Just think of the things that could happen
Magic can be spun
And we’ll watch the stars go whizzing by
As we go ’round the sun.

What could be more inviting
Singing carols
And fam’lies reuniting
And it’s laughter
Merriment and fun
As we go once more around the sun

There’s another year, fresh and clear, straight ahead
Like a field of snow
All across the land there’s a brand-new beginning now
Just think of the things that could happen
Hang on, everyone!
And we’ll watch the stars go whizzing by
And it’s full speed ahead as through space we fly
The future has just begun
With eyes open wide
On this carousel ride
As we go ’round the sun.
